We are Opsfleet, a DevOps consulting company headquartered in Israel.

We offer growing SaaS startups from all over the world access to our 14+ years of DevOps experience by providing outsourced DevOps teams as a service.

Our story

I (Leonid Mirsky) have been working in the IT industry for more than 14 years.

I served in Israeli intelligence as an NOC specialist and then moved to a production engineering career at LivePerson, an enterprise SaaS chat company.

After leaving LivePerson, I started working as a DevOps consultant with smaller SaaS companies such as Xplenty, Listora, and more.
After a few years of working with clients, I noticed some patterns:

- Growing SaaS companies have a real challenge in finding their first DevOps hires! They are usually trying to find one person with a broad skill set: someone who knows the stack the company is working with, someone with great communication and leadership skills (since they’ll be acting as a team of one), and obviously someone who isn’t that expensive… But finding a candidate like this is almost impossible in the current environment!

- Both young and mature SaaS companies struggle to adopt modern technologies like Kubernetes. Switching infrastructure-development practices, even if it promises to dramatically improve operations, is always a risky and frightening endeavor.

- Knowledge sharing in a constantly changing environment is very hard. I’ve seen more than once that a key engineer, usually in the IT/DevOps roles, becomes so irreplaceable that no one can even imagine what the company would do if they left. That’s a huge risk to a growing and dynamic company!

- Over a short period of time, a young and dynamic company eventually collects so much infrastructure technical debt that it starts to significantly impact their development processes. Sometimes this impact shows up in frequent downtime incidents, sometimes engineers complain that it takes them too much time to develop and test a new feature—sometimes both.

Opsfleet was founded to solve these challenges for more companies —more companies than I could help alone. The impact of one person is limited. A team of 5+ highly qualified engineers can do much more!
